Assessment

“Your strength will be found when you stop struggling with yourself, instead of thinking everyone is a struggle worth overcoming. Every obstacle in life is a lesson that teaches us, not others.”
Shannon L. Alder

At Chobham Academy, we believe that rigorous assessment and prompt, continuous feedback allows our students to feel motivated and empowered. Students at Chobham Academy value their education and are keen to see how far they have travelled in their learning journey with us. They are always determined to better themselves and their ability to learn and progress. All students are provided with a target for the end of Year 11, and interim targets for the end of each year. These yearly targets provide manageable stepping stones to their final target.

Students sit an assessment each half term; these test both the knowledge and skills covered that half term; and in addition will require students to recall material covered earlier. For Keystage 4, assessments usually take the form of GCSE exam style questions (frequently full mock papers).

Please see the details of the assessment dates for 2018-2019 below.
