The aim of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance at Chobham Academy is to ensure that the students who study here are exceptionally well prepared for the next stage of their education, training or employment.

Students at Chobham Academy are able to work with a highly experienced Careers Advisor, Ann Evans. Ann is part of the Harris Federation Careers Advisor team and working across the Federation's Academies. She offers bespoke and personalised careers guidance and advice. Students across the year groups have access to her advice, either through 1:1 interviews, group interviews, assemblies, the tutor programme or through the lunch time drop in clinic.

Tutor Programme/Innovation Days
At various points in the academic year, students from Years 7 to 13 have access to a bespoke year group career focused tutor programme. This includes a range of guidance from UCAS and Higher Education to GCSE options. The Innovation Day programme also provides an opportunity for students to develop their work skills in a range of settings
Nationals Careers Week 2019 - 4th – 9th March
“NCW is run as a not-for-profit company to promote the importance of good careers education in schools and colleges, founded and backed by a number of volunteers with a wealth of experience from education, business and careers guidance.”

Chobham Academy successfully completed a project with Creative Digital Careers. Year 11 students created an infographic to inform people in the local area about how the labour market is changing in London. A link to the company can be found below:
This opportunity provided the students with an opportunity to develop their creative design skills, have a greater understanding of the careers available in the Creative Digital Industries, and work in partnership with Stratford Circus and also Stratford Theatre. The pilot project lasted 6 months. The outcome of the project can be found below.
