Focus for the academic yearI feel very proud to be part of the community here at Chobham Academy. Our core values of excellence, respect, integrity, innovation, collaboration, and trust, have been at the heart of developing an Academy, which is providing an excellent education for all. We continue to develop our students - not only academically - but spiritually, morally and culturally by encouraging students to participate in a range of different activities in and out of school. Last year our students went to Christies, Google Campus, Cambridge University and Imperial College, to name but a few. We will also continue to raise the profile of our Performing Arts and English specialism, through events such as the Newham Fair and our very own performances here at Chobham. Our focus will be to continue developing this provision whilst always mindful that student outcomes are at the heart of what we do.
I am very proud of the successes that we achieved last year- both in terms of student progress and attainment- but also in providing the most amazing opportunities for our young people. When I think of all the amazing things our students have achieved, it is difficult to identify any specific key successes except this: Chobham Academy continues to grow with 1700 students, nearly 200 colleagues and is oversubscribed in every year group. That is the key success!
